After a successful 2021 event, we plan to continue annually. Keep an eye out for the dates for our Virtual and Global event in November 2022!
We have joined forces with Stare Vie in Guatemala, the first and only physical space in the country, permanently bringing together fashion designers, artists, and emerging and established entrepreneurs. Today it has established itself as a concept store that offers a space for art, culture, fashion, and lifestyle.
This combined effort brings a one-of-a-kind event, featuring work from almost 30 designers, primarily from Guatemala. The goal is to bring people together as a global community and spread awareness about the work we do in Guatemala. Each hand-made, custom piece is created from recycled materials like those found in the Guatemala City garbage dump and all proceeds will go to support our mission.
Don’t want to watch alone? You can host or attend a watch party! Our premier event featured 20 Watch Parties in the U.S. and many more worldwide! Keep an eye out for more details as the event gets closer. You can also sign up for our newsletter or email us at email@example.com for more information.
Despite all of the challenges we face, this year’s race will be a great celebration of the Safe Passage/Camino Seguro community. EVERYONE can participate regardless of location. Simply register, run, submit results and celebrate! We also invite you to send pictures which may be shared on our Website and Facebook.
For our Guatemalan 5K participants, contact Karla Subuyuj at firstname.lastname@example.org or +(502) 5569 6052
The Safe Passage 5K also raises funds and awareness for Safe Passage students and families. For 16 years, friends and supporters have joined us for our 5K races in Maine and Boston. We’ve also had 5K races in areas of Vermont, the UK, Guatemala, and Denmark. Join us so that our locations can expand across the world. This year, we hope to see even greater diversity as everyone can Virtually participate and celebrate the grit, tenacity and beauty of our students and their families. FMI, click the link above and register.
Help spread the word about this event by sharing with your friends and family around the globe! This year’s proceeds will help support the science and technology curriculum that will benefit our Safe Passage/Camino Seguro middle school students. In the midst of this pandemic, it will support an expansion of our blended learning model that seeks to minimize and reverse the progress lost with the closure of the school.
Muchas gracias, to our 2021 race sponsors!
