2022 marks our 18th Annual Safe Passage 5K, raising funds to support our school in Guatemala. The race will be held virtually again from September 9th-18th, 2022. The last two year’s virtual events, have seen our most successful races ever, raising well over our targeted goal each year. Join us again in bringing hope, education, and opportunity to our students.

Visit our event page for more details and to register.

While you are racing …

We would LOVE to see your photos and video from the race! Please share them either by emailing to info@safepassage.org or click on the “more” tab at the top of the page (while logged into your RunSignUp account), then click “photos” and select the correct race year.

Want to help spread the word about or 18th Annual 5K? Download our 2022 Race Poster and Race Flyer to share with your friends, family and neighbors!

This year, money raised through our Virtual 5K will go towards addressing the academic, social and emotional deficits created by the school closure and inability to see our students face-to-face during the pandemic.

Your support will help provide necessary resources to address challenges around nutritional needs, the hiring of additional teachers and another psychologist to support our students, more training in trauma informed practices for staff, and so many other important necessities.

For 17 years, friends and supporters have joined us for our 5K race in Maine. We’ve also had 5K races in areas of Massachusettes, Vermont, the UK, Guatemala, and Denmark and we have added several more states and countries to our list after going virtual! Join us so that our locations can expand across the world.

You can help spread the word about this event by sharing with your friends and family around the globe or by starting your own fundraiser! For more information or to register, click this link!

From Trash to Treasure

When talent and love have an intention...a fashion event from Guatemala to the world!

After a successful 2021 event, we plan to continue annually. Keep an eye out for the dates for our Virtual/Global event in November 2022!

About the Event

We have joined forces with Stare Vie in Guatemala, the first and only physical space in the country, permanently bringing together fashion designers, artists, and emerging and established entrepreneurs. Today it has established itself as a concept store that offers a space for art, culture, fashion, and lifestyle.

This combined effort brings a one-of-a-kind event, featuring work from almost 30 designers, primarily from Guatemala. The goal is to bring people together as a global community and spread awareness about the work we do in Guatemala. Each hand-made, custom piece is created from recycled materials like those found in the Guatemala City garbage dump and all proceeds will go to support our mission.

Host a Watch Party

Don’t want to watch alone? You can host or attend a watch party! Our premier event featured 20 Watch Parties in the U.S. and many more worldwide! Keep an eye out for more details as the event gets closer. You can also sign up for our newsletter or email us at outreach@safepassage.org for more information.
