One of the most common ways to make a legacy gift is to include Safe Passage in your will.
You may choose to leave:
A specific dollar amount
A percentage of your estate
The remainder of your estate after other gifts are distributed
A gift through your will allows you to support the next generation of youth in Guatemala all while accounting for your family’s needs first.
Name Safe Passage as a Beneficiary
You can also name Safe Passage as a beneficiary of certain accounts. This is often one of the simplest ways to give.
Examples include:
Retirement accounts (IRA, 401k, 403b)
Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)
Life insurance policies
Investment accounts
Beneficiary designations can usually be completed through a simple form with your financial advisor/ or banking institution.
Give from Your IRA
If you are 70½ or older, you may be able to make a direct charitable gift from your IRA.
These gifts can:
Count toward your required minimum distribution
Reduce taxable income
Support Safe Passage immediately
Let Us Know Your Intentions
If you have included Safe Passage in your plans, we would be honored to know. Sharing your intentions allows us to thank you and ensure we understand how you would like your gift to be used. We also have special opportunities to join other Legacy donors for zoom calls or in-person visits.
Any information you share will remain confidential unless you state otherwise.
