We exceeded our 2015 Giving Tuesday Goal by 44 families. Thank you to everyone who participated! You can still make an impact in Guatemala City by making a donation to our program today.

What is Giving Tuesday?
We all know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but many have not heard of Giving Tuesday, a global day for giving back to nonprofits and celebrating donors across the world!

This year Giving Tuesday is on December 1, 2015. Safe Passage is participating with a special campaign to raise funds to feed 100 families for 1 year, and to impact the lives of our more than 550 students. You don’t have to wait until December 1, you can make a gift today!

Why feed families?
Hunger is one of the world’s major problems, and many in our community suffer from malnourishment. At Safe Passage we strive to meet the needs of the whole student. We aim to help treat—and prevent—cases of malnourishment by providing meals for our students, and food bags for our community families.

Raising funds to feed 100 of our community families will also impact the lives of our 550 children who are a part of these families.

How can you make the biggest impact?

1. Donate
No need to wait until December 1 – generous contributions received from friends of Safe Passage like you will make our Giving Tuesday goal a reality. Every gift matters and will be used where it is most needed in our program.

2. Share our Story
We will be updating our community and sharing progress on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram on December 1, Giving Tuesday. Share our story with your friends and family and increase our ability to reach our goal.
