Join us at the Holiday Open House Friday, December 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 at the Safe Passage office in Yarmouth, Maine.  The members of the Casco Bay Friends of Safe Passage will be sharing experiences of their recent trip to Guatemala.  I'll talk about the Kayake Safe Passage Expedition, with the headline: Grandmother Paddles over 3,000 Miles to Garbage Dump.  Come and hear about why we decided it will now be a solo kayak trip without yachts, and why I will board a sail boat between Florida and Belize to avoid the dangers for small craft along portions of the Mexican coast.

I'll also mention the many ways that folks can help with the Kayak Safe Passage Expedition.  If you can't attend the Open House, but would like to learn more about: hosting me along the way; having me speak to a group about the expedition; being on call for emergency support along the way; or having your youth group participate in our Expedition art project, contact Sally@safepassage.org.
