As one of the Support Team Coordinators, I often receive inquiries from individuals who would like to join another Support Team that is coming down for a week of volunteer work and fun with the kids of Safe Passage. So, this summer, we have decided to add
Open Adult Weeks to our schedule so that individual adults 18 and older can join us for a truly remarkable week.

We’ve designed our weeks around themes, and you will have the chance to complete projects with two classes of students based on the week’s theme. We also plan…

to have an optional activity during the week (either a free day activity or evening outing) for you based on that week’s theme. We hope you’ll take advantage of this opportunity and join us!

The Open Adult Weeks for 2012 are:

June 17 – 24, Art Theme
July 8 – 15, Science Theme
August 12 – 19, Culture and History Theme

If you like to take photos, design and make crafts, draw or paint; if you like to build things, investigate the weather, or make things fly; if you like to tell stories about our common history, understand where we come from, or try something new from another culture or time and you want to share your passion and skills with our kids, join us for one of these special weeks.

For those of you with teens 15 years and older, we still have a few openings in our Parent-Child weeks June 10-17th and July 29th – August 5th.

To sign up, or for further information, please write to Victor and me at
teams@safepassage.org.

We hope to see you soon!
