On November 7, 2015 we built our new Learning, Art and Fun Center with help from thousands of volunteers from TELUS International.
And we built this new center in one day.
What’s the Learning, Art and Fun Center?
In January, 2016, we’re adding two more full-day classes to Safe Passage, and we need more space. As part of the need to address our growing infrastructure demands, a joint effort with Guatemalan call center TELUS International was created to design and build our new center all in one day.
Over 1 thousand TELUS employees are working with Safe Passage board members, staff, students, and parents during a one-day Day of Giving to build our Learning, Art, and Fun Center on a donated parcel of land across the street from the small church where Hanley first started Safe Passage 16 years ago.
This new campus will include athletic fields, classrooms, space for our after-school enrichment programs and Creamos social entrepreneurship programs. These are truly exciting times for Safe Passage and we are thrilled to share them with you.
Thanks to the generosity of thousands of people like you, Safe Passage’s dream for a new center to expand our programs, and to continue breaking the cycle of poverty in Guatemala, is becoming a reality.
Impact all 550+ children at Safe Passage and foster future growth of our programs by giving a donation today.
