This past year, six youth in our program earned the privilege of attending Kinal, a prestigious private school in Guatemala City, as a result of strong grades and performance on an admissions exam and interview. This January one of our teen girls will be entering Canadiense and another will enter Junkabal; both are private schools for girls. Additionally, thirty students will attend other private schools in Guatemala City based on their academic merit. Their hard work and success mark an incredible achievement for all of us at Safe Passage. Children who only six and a half years ago were told that they wouldn’t make it in the Guatemala City public schools are now attending the most highly regarded private schools in Guatemala City!
Become an Academic Partner and help provide the tuition, uniforms and school supplies for our children who have earned their place in Guatemala City’s private schools. These schools provide strong academic and vocational preparation that will open doors and further the opportunities available to our children. We are very proud of our children and the goals they are setting for themselves!
