Madre / "Mother's Hands" - Trailer by One Spark Films
About the Film
Manos de Madre follows Irina, a Safe Passage adult literacy student and single mother of five, as she navigates life within the Guatemala City garbage dump – her home, and the largest dump in Central America. While the film’s central focus is on Irina, it also tells the story of Safe Passage’s fight to provide opportunities and hope to children raised in a world where hope is in desperately short supply.

"Imagino" / "I Imagine" - Lyrics and Music by Marta Gomez
Thank you to Marta and her band for playing this beautiful song - in Michigan, Maine Guatemala, North Carolina, and more - to help Safe Passage celebrate its tenth anniversary in 2009.
