Plan a HOPE IN ACTION Event

Here's How:

1. Plan your fiesta. Check out our event templates below!

2. Register your event here.

3. Invite your guests and publicize. You can invite friends, family, co-workers or the public, it's up to you!

4. Host your event. Be sure to fill out this sign-up sheet as people come in!

5. Create a message for the children of Safe Passage and photograph your group with your message!

6. Send your photo(s) and sign-up sheet to outreach@safepassage.org

 

Template 1: The Brunch!

You invite six friends and their families over for a brunch. Everyone brings a dish of some kind and signs in. After a delicious meal, you get together and using google translate and a jar of elbow macaroni, write "Estudiantes de Camino Seguro, Les Apoyamos! Que realicen sus sueños!" (Students of Safe Passage, we support you! May your dream come true!). You take a smiling and somewhat goofy picture of the macaroni message and your group and send it along with the sign-up sheet to outreach@safepassage.org. Boom!


Template 2: The Meet-Up!

You set a time for people to meet at your favorite restuarant and invite ten of your friends to meet up during happy hour. What's more, when you tell the manager abuot Safe Passage and what you're planning, they decide to donate a free drink to everyone. In addition to your friends, several local Safe Passage supporters hear about your event and come too! Your bring markers and paper for people to make signs and everyone writes a personal message to the kids. The result? A great shot of ten smiling faces holding signs of support. You then send the photo along with the sign-in list to outreach@safepassage.org Boom!

 

Template 3: The Potluck!

You invite six friends and their families over for a brunch. In addition to your friends, several local Safe Passage supporters hear about your event and come too! Everyone brings a dish of some kind and signs in. After a delicious meal, you bust out the old finger paints and make a creative, hand drawn message of support for the children at Safe Passage. You take a smiling and highly goofy picture with your painted hands and message and send it along with the sign-up sheet to outreach@safepassage.org. Boom!
